    BFI Canada reported solid organic growth in revenues for the second quarter (ended June 30, 2006) to $192.6 million from $181.7 million but more modest gains in EBITDA and net income for the quarter versus the same period last year. Financials include those of IESI which was acquired on January 20, 2005.   6. Transcripts Released in San Jose Mayor Gonzales Case

    2,400 pages of transcripts of testimony released Friday in the San Jose garbage scandal case contributes little insight into whether San Jose Mayor Ron Gonzales actually committed the crimes alleged in the seven count indictment. Much of the testimony seems to support the defense's version of events surrounding the recognizing of the Teamsters union at a recycling plant subcontracted by Norcal Waste Systems instead of the lower wage rate Longshoremen's union.

    Clean Harbors, Inc. (Nasdaq: CLHB) reported a 15% increase in second quarter (ended June 30, 2006) revenues of $200 million from $174 million in the same period last year.     Gundle/SLT Environmental, Inc. (GSE) reported a 19% increase in second quarter revenue to $103 million from $87 million in the same period last year. A 16.6% increase in shipments was the primary engine of that growth. However, net income for the quarter suffered from unusual expenses related a personal injury claim and interest expense.     GreenMan Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: GMTI) reported a 5% drop in net sales from continuing operations in the three months ended June 30, 2006 to $5.5 million from $5.8 million in the same period last year. During the period the company processed some 3.9 million passenger tire equivalents versus 4.1 million last year.
