Hi-Rise Recycling Companies, Inc. has initiated Chapter 11 proceedings in Canton, Ohio in order to implement a sale of its assets. The company has entered into an asset sale agreement with Wastequip Manufacturing Company, a subsidiary of Wastequip, Inc. GE Capital will provide Hi-Rise with a financing facility to ensure sufficient liquidity to continue to fund operations. Wastequip will purchase all of the inventories and most of the plant, property, and equipment of Hi-Rise.
