  1. Microgy Establishes Anaerobic Digester Agreement With California Dairy

    Microgy Cogeneration Systems, Inc., a subsidiary of Environmental Power Corporation (OTCBB: POWR), has signed an agreement with De Snayer Dairy of Lodi, California, for the on-farm location of an animal feed production system based on Microgy's anaerobic digester technology. The proposed facility that will use manure from De Snayer's dairy operations to generate biogas that will power processing equipment.   2. Wyoming Mulls Options For Impending Landfill Crisis

    Twenty-one landfills in the state of Wyoming are leaking, and state officials estimate that as many as half of its 130 operating and closed landfills could eventually leak. A state advisory group has proposed having the state clean leaking landfills provided the owners meet certain conditions.   3. Waste Services Reports End-Of-Quarter Results

    Waste Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: WSII) has reported financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2004. Revenue for the quarter increased by $41.3 million, or 132%, to $72.6 million in 2004, as compared to $31.3 million during the same period in 2003. The company attributes the increase to a series of new acquisitions in the United States. Operating income was $8.7 million, as compared to $3.5 million last year.     Sub Surface Waste Management (OTCBB: SSWM), a subsidiary of U.S. Microbics, Inc. (OTCBB: BUGS) through its partner in Mexico, Grupo Bartlett de Mexico, S.A. DE C.V., a subsidiary of Bartlett Inc. has successfully completed a biofeasibility study for the remediation of drilling mud wastes generated by the Mexican oil producers and their drilling company vendors.     N-Viro International Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: NVIC.OB) has announced its results for the period ended June 30. The company's overall revenue increased $181,000, or 13 percent, to $1.59 million from the $1.408 million for the same period of 2003.     Hi-Rise Recycling Companies, Inc. has initiated Chapter 11 proceedings in Canton, Ohio in order to implement a sale of its assets. The company has entered into an asset sale agreement with Wastequip Manufacturing Company, a subsidiary of Wastequip, Inc.
