Waste-The Social Context '08

“Waste – The Social Context ’08” is a unique international conference that will address the broad social implications of waste management. The theme is “Urban Issues and Solutions.” Many conferences focus on the technical aspects of wastewater and solid waste management. This conference is unique because it will explore the environmental, social and economic implications of growing volumes of waste and various solutions. The aim is to share ideas and provide a forum for discussion.

Building on the success of our 2005 Conference, the event will feature knowledge sharing from a wide range of multidisciplinary researchers and practitioners. The result will be the most holistic perspective on waste management ever offered in a conference setting of this type in North America. Municipal leaders, scientists, politicians, policy-makers, social marketing and community relations practitioners, engineers, and activists are among those who will benefit by attending.
